No Music And No Instruments
Music is only permitted when it’s straight from the Amish songbook, Ausbund. This book of lyrics does not contain musical notes, and instead, Amish people pass down the tunes through generations.
Instruments, too, are considered a form of self-expression that just won’t fly; that brand of talent can only lead to feelings of superiority, after all.
