Foods That Should Never Be Refrigerated

A Pantry Should Contain Citrus Fruits

Remember to store fruits appropriately to maximize their flavor and nutrition. Generally, ripe fruits are sweet, ripening quicker and becoming sweeter when kept at room temperature. Citrus fruits, in particular, require enough time and space to develop their sweetness and avoid being sour. Oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and limes should be stored outside the fridge. However, if you prefer cold oranges, keep them outside the refrigerator and chill them for an hour or two before consumption. It ensures the fruits maintain their optimal sweetness and quality while satisfying your preference for cold fruit.
