No Harsh Judgments For The Young
Teenagers are pretty much biologically hard-wired to get into trouble, so Amish people give their adolescents a free pass of sorts. Teens aren’t shunned or punished harshly for getting into mischief or experimenting. Adults give them a bit of breathing room in hopes that they’ll stay a part of the community as they grow up.
