Protein and “healthy” fats can be found in peanut butter, which is low in carbs. It contains about 8 grams of protein per serving, about two tablespoons. Rebecca Stib, a registered dietitian nutritionist, told Insider that peanut butter is one of her favorite high-protein foods for weight loss.

Eggs

If you are planning to consume milk, yogurt, or cheese, she recommends choosing plain, low-fat, or fat-free varieties. You can pair it with fresh berries if you prefer a little more natural sweetness with your yogurt.

Nuts

One of the best plant-based protein options is nuts. Gulbin told Insider that nuts are a great, portable, and nutritious addition to any healthy lifestyle plan. The average amount of protein in almonds, pistachios, and peanuts is around 6 grams per ounce, along with about 3 grams of fibre.
