Using Rice Water to Grow Hair and Strengthen It

Women in many parts of Asia have used rice water for centuries to promote healthy hair growth. It is rich in amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that nourish hair follicles and make hair stronger, shinier, and longer. The best part is it is easy to make and can be used as a natural hair treatment at home. Here is how you can use rice water to strengthen and grow your hair.

Rinse Your Rice

Rinse one cup of rice in a bowl with water to remove any dirt or impurities. Then, drain the water and repeat this process until the water is clear.

Soak The Rice

Once the rice is clean, add two to three cups of water to the bowl, cover it, and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. It will allow the nutrients from the rice to seep into the water.

Strain The Rice

After 30 minutes, strain the rice and keep the water in a separate bowl.

Ferment The Rice Water

Leave the rice water at room temperature for one to two days to ferment. Fermentation releases more nutrients from the rice, making them more easily absorbed by the hair.

Apply The Rice Water

Once the rice water has fermented, pour it onto your hair and massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.

Condition Your Hair

After shampooing and conditioning your hair, you can also use the rice water as a final rinse. After rinsing off the rice water, condition your hair as usual to prevent any dryness. Repeat this process once a week for best results.

It’s an easy and natural way to nourish your hair by using rice water. It is cost-effective, and you can make it at home with just a few simple steps. Try incorporating it into your hair care routine, and you may see the results of healthier, stronger, and shinier hair.
