Mindfulness is one of these practices. The practice of mindfulness involves being fully present in our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. It can assist us in concentrating on the present moment and letting go of problems and distractions. To start practicing mindfulness, take a few deep breaths and pay attention to your breath moving in and out of your body. Practicing mindfulness can also be done while doing everyday tasks, such as washing dishes or walking.

Relaxation is another way to calm a busy mind. Activities you enjoy and find relaxing can help calm your mind and reduce stress. Whether it be yoga, bath, or reading a book, find something that makes you happy and incorporate it into your daily schedule.
