Two Marvel Stars Reunite For New Film On Apple TV

Apple TV is bringing together two former Marvel Avengers in a new movie filled with romance and action-adventure—Ghosted.

Set to reunite—onscreen that is—are former Avengers stars Chris Evans and Scarlet Johansson for a new adventure film on Apple TV entitled Ghosted.

Best known for their individual roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, and Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, the pair are no strangers to working with each out outside their superhero roles.  The fact is, four years before the first phase of the MCU appeared in theaters, their film history started.

Evans and Johansson first appeared together in the 2004 teen comedy entitled The Perfect Score.  Having established that they had great onscreen chemistry, the pair appeared together once again, with Evans portraying the love interest to Johansson’s character in the 2007 rom-com The Nanny Diaries.

Soon after that, the two stars donned their superhero personas and started their journey into what became one of the largest franchises in cinematic history—the MCU.  Although sadly, their time appearing as superheroes alongside each other may be over, it seems they will still be working together in future projects.

As for their newest project, Ghosted, the plot details are reportedly being kept on the down-low.  What has been revealed offers that the storyline is a “high-concept, romantic action-adventure” along the same vein as that of 1984’s Romancing the Stone, which starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

The creative team on the production includes some well-known, glittering names. Evans is reportedly starring in and co-producing the film with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.

Ghosted is reportedly the second film that Johansson has contracted for since news of her lawsuit broke against Disney.  The other film is an untitled Wes Anderson project that has been filming in Spain.
