Kool-Aid Brings Back Fan Favorite Retro Flavors in 2020

Oh yeah! Attention all you 90’s kids, it’s time to get excited. The beloved Kool-Aid man has returned and he’s crashing through the brick wall with some of your favorite flavors. Kool-Aid was one of the most popular kid’s drinks of the 1990s, and its iconic mascot, the Kool-Aid Man, who is a glass jug filled with red Kool-Aid is just as famous.

Now, the Kool-Aid brand is kicking off the new year by bringing back the Kool-Aid Retro Jammers in two flavors. Basically, you can now go buy Kool-Aid in stores again and feel like a kid at mealtime. The two flavors are Purplesaurus Rex, and Rock-A-Dile Red, which are throwbacks to the cherry red and purple grape flavors of the 90s.

Each box of Kool-Aid Retro Jammers will contain ten pouches of Kool-Aid which are about six fluid ounces of drink. Both flavors of Kool-Aid Retro Jammers will be coming to grocery stores nationwide sometime in 2020, although some social media candy hunters have already found them! Simply buy a box, open a pouch, pour it into some water and enjoy the delicious trip back down your childhood and give your tastebuds a treat.

In a statement, Kool-Aid confirmed the release by saying, “Oh yeah, retro flavors are real. We’ll have more details to share when Retro Kool-Aid crashes into stores this year, and we’ll make sure you’re among the first to know.” This is actually not the first time that Kool-Aid Retro Jammers have made a grocery store comeback, as the drink was previously released for a spell back in early 2014, although the release was shortlived, and the Kool-Aid has not been seen from since.

In addition to flavor, the Kool-Aid Retro Jammers are also sporting some retro-inspired packaging, from the yellow, red or purple color choices to the more box-like text letters that the newer Kool-Aid products do not sport.
