Kelsea Ballerini Says She Is Over Unrealistic Expectations For The New Year

Kelsea Ballerini says she is not interested in New Year resolutions.

Kelsea goes to Instagram to share her thoughts and expectations and gives a fresh start for the New Year.

She is enjoying her beautiful time in Australia’s Byron Bay.

Kelsea began the post, “Y’all. I have spent the last few days writing pages of things I want to improve my relationship, health, career, and life this year. PAGES. And then I realized that was only going to bring more anxiety and unrealistic expectations into my world, and I don’t have the room for it this year.”

The country singer Kelsea Ballerini shared that she “ripped those pages out” and is now focused on “doing my damn best.”

Kelsea continues, “That is the goal for the year. I just thought I had shared if any of your algorithms were also sending you into a shame spiral of not being good enough already. Because maybe the ‘better-ing’ happens when we show up and see what meets us where we are. We are.”

Last year, Kelsea Ballerini released her poetry book “Feel Your Way Through” and worked as an ambassador for Aerie’s #AerieREAL Voices campaign.

She spoke to “Yahoo Life” on resisting pressure to live up to an idealized body image.

Kelsea said, “You are in your underwear, and you are going to see my stretch marks on my leg. Because guess what? That is normal. I wouldn’t have done that two years ago. While I was writing this book, I talked a lot about body image and eating disorders, and being a part of this campaign was growth for me.”
