Green tea is one of the most widely mentioned choices when trying to lose weight.  Why you ask?  It turns out that this variation of tea contains phytonutrients, which are called catechins, which are known to give a slight metabolic boost, which in turn can aid in weight loss.  There are even studies that showed that green tea can help to significantly burn and reduce body fat.

Oatmeal

Eating oatmeal first thing in the morning will give you the alertness and energy you need throughout the day.  When eating oats, you are carb-loading with the type of carbs that will maintain a stable blood sugar level, that will not cause you to crash.

Blueberries have been in the news for years, simply for the antioxidants they contain.  The same antioxidants that fend of diseases and illnesses are also proven to help with the cardiovascular system and staving off dementia.
