Got Pets? Use this Homemade Urine Stain Removal

Chemdry

If you have pets, thinking about getting pets or just moved into a new home that clearly has urine stains all over the carpet, then you should definitely try this urine stain removal! It’s an easy concoction you can make using simple household items and it even helps with the smell.

First thing you will need to do is fill a spray bottle with equal parts warm water and white vinegar and shake to combine! Next, you will spray this mixture directly onto the stain so that it is fully saturated. We want it to seep through the carpet fibers and really get down in there. Using a soft-bristle brush, really scrub the mixture into the carpet and let it sit for 30 minutes.

After the 30 minutes is up, blot the solution with paper towels or a clean rag with quite a bit of pressure to really soak up the liquid. Allow the carpet to then air-dry. Once dried, pour a decent amount of baking soda over the stain. You will then mix ½ cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 tsp. Of dish soap (PLEASE test the peroxide on a small area of your carpet if darker to assure it will not bleach or ruin your carpet in anyway before applying to the entire stain) in a bowl and pour the mixture on top of the baking soda. Work this into the carpet using your fingers and the soft bristle brush used previously. Allow this to dry fully then vacuum and wala!
