Get Paid A Lot To Drink Water

This job may be the coolest $15,000 that anyone has ever offered—and it is done by simply drinking water for eight weeks.  A few months back, there was a call out to individuals to apply to get paid to sleep—which undeniably would be the ultimate in employment—however, this one squeaks in at a close second.

Most of us drink water already each day, and we do it for free, so anyone who applies is assured to more than meet the qualifications for this latest job position with Hydrant.  Hydrant is a company that produces supplements for hydration that you can add to water.

They are looking to hire an individual for eight weeks and pay them $15,000—which works out to approximately $267 a day.

When describing the position, a representative with Hydrant said:

“As our chief thirst officer, you’ll be the authority on all things hydration, making sure our audience is never thirty (like never, ever).  It starts with something as simple as drinking eight glasses of water a day (with Hydrant, of course).  Once it kicks in…the world is your oyster.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has long stood by the fact that drinking water offers a variety of health benefits:

“Water can prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, result in mood change, cause your body to overheat and lead to constipation and kidney stones.”

The CDC went on to add:

“Most of your fluid needs are met through the water and beverages you drink.  You can get some fluids through the foods that you eat—especially foods with high water content, such as many fruits and vegetables.”

Although the US CDC has not specified a recommendation as to how much water adults should intake a day, the UK National Health Service recommends anywhere between six and eight glasses a day of fluid.
