Dairy lovers rejoice! There is now a new alternative to tortillas and they are made entirely from cheese. Folios Cheese Wraps are being sold at Costco stores across the nation. Costco, is a major warehouse membership store, although the company that makes this new product also offers them online.

Customers can also purchase them online at lotitofoods.com, at regional grocery store chains like HEB and Hy-Vee, as well as local markets like Gelson’s Foods, Sunset Foods, Aldi, Supermarket Italy, Yoke’s Fresh Market as well as Amazon. Right now, the cheese wraps are available in three flavors, parmesan, cheddar and Jarlsberg.

Each package of Folios contains four full tortillas and they all have great reviews. Some customers have pointed out that they love the taste of the cheese wraps, although the structural integrity of the cheese wrap isn’t as sturdy as a regular tortilla.

These cheese wraps are lightly baked sheets of various cheeses, made from partly skim milk. They are simple to wrap, roll, melt or crisp as desired. You can crisp them for a few seconds in the microwave to create cheese bowls or cut out squares and heat to make cheese chips to eat or dip with sauce.

These cheese wraps also have eleven grams of protein, so they are a good source of protein without being high in carbs. They are also low in sodium and cholesterol.  Folios cheese wraps do need to be kept in the refrigerator. If needed, the cheese wraps can be purchased by the case, which includes 12 units.
