Doctor Strange To Reunite With Spider-Man

What should come as a complete surprise to—well—no one behind the scenes developments on the next Spider-Man movie in the MCU are being kept on the down-low.  However, when it comes to blockbusters such as the Spider-Man franchise, information always finds a way of getting out into the public.  This time around, that information has been obtained by way of casting announcements.

Studios can indeed hold off on the release or leaking of most films plot lines and descriptions, but there are always those little nuggets of information that can be found when the confirmation is made of a certain actor or character joining the film.  To this extent, we have learned a lot about the upcoming, untitled, Spider-Man 3.

We got our first nugget of information at the beginning of the month when the official announcement came that Jamie Foxx would be joining the cast.  He will be seen as Max Dillion—a.k.a. Electro, once again portraying the character from Amazing Spider-Man 2.

As if this revelation isn’t enough to try and wrap our brains around, now we have even more exciting news that could possibly blow our minds.

Speculation now turned to confirmation as we now know that Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining the cast and reprising his fan-favorite role of Doctor Strange.  This addition will see Cumberbatch reunited with Tom Holland for the first time since last seen in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Although there have been no definite details as to what the part the character of Doctor Strange will play in the film, we can extrapolate his role based on both what we already know of the production and where we see the future of the MCU looks to be headed.

In a nutshell, all points lead to the fact that the multiverse will factor into the MCU franchise as a whole over the few years.
