Crispy Potato Snack Bites Recipe

Potatoes are a hearty ingredient to add to any meal. They are also incredibly versatile foods, which can be main courses with toppings, side dishes, and flavored to bring out many different ingredients.

Add some seasonings and you could have a whole different meal in your mouth. Potatoes are also a great snack food, and if you are in need of a simple and quick recipe with potatoes, you need to try this.

Here are the ingredients that you need in order to complete this recipe:

  • 12 oz. russet potato
  • 2 tbsp salt for boiling
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup kettle cooked potato chips crushed
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • ½ tsp sage


Here are the directions that you need to follow in order to complete this recipe:

  1. The first step is to preheat the oven to 450F.
  2. Now, you need to chop up your potato and place in a medium sized pot. Now, you need to cover the pot with cold water and add 2 tbsp of salt. Bring the water to boil and boil the potato until the consistency is fork tender. Drain the water and move the potatoes to a separate bowl.
  3. Now, you need to add all of the cornstarch, almond milk, garlic powder, red pepper flakes and salt and pepper to the potatoes, use a fork to mash roughly until all of the ingredients are completely mixed.
  4. In another medium bowl, mix the crushed potato chips with thyme, rosemary, and sage.
  5. Roll the mashed potato mixture into 10 different balls, about 3 tbsp each in size.  Roll the balls in the potato chip mixture until they are fully covered.
  6. Then you need to place them on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 450F for 20 minutes, rotating 180 degrees halfway.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
