As the holiday season quickly approaches, we are put into the mind of sleigh bells ringing and carolers caroling. Not to mention the beautiful lights and ornaments on each and every Christmas tree.
But, there is a new addition to Christmas this year, and it is not what you may think it is. This year Nabisco is getting in on the holiday celebrations, and it is in the form of a tasty cookie.

Just in time for the season’s festivities, Nabisco has announced the release of their latest holiday-inspired flavor—Oreo peppermint bark. I am of the opinion that If these tasty little bites don’t get you excited for the holidays, then surely nothing else will.
As a little teaser as to what is waiting inside, the packaging describes the contents as:
“The cookies are filled with peppermint flavored crème with crunchy sugar crystals, giving you the same flavors and texture of real peppermint bark.”
And the best part is, we don’t have that long to wait. With most of the recent new candy and cookies creations, we are having to wait until next year.

According to Delish, there are reports coming down from Nabisco, the creators and manufacturers of the Oreo cookie line, that the newest addition will hit shelves on October 29th—just a few short days before Halloween.
If you feel you just can’t wait that long—the good news is maybe you don’t have to. It is being said that the cookies have already shown up on select websites, and are currently available online at such retailers as Walmart and Target.
Be forewarned, the newest limited-edition Oreo flavor seems to be a hit and is selling out like wildfire, according to reports from Delish.
All we can say for sure is that we hope Santa doesn’t decide to buy them all up.
