Channing Tatum speaks on he was feeling hesitant to take on single fatherhood.
He shared to ‘VMAN’ that he was initially “afraid” of parenting daughter Everly, 8, solo after he split with actress Jenna Dewan.”
Channing told the outlet, “I know that I would like play and act to make-believe and magical things, but I was not sure if I would be able to meet her level, especially now that I am a single father. I was doubly afraid.”
He explained that his concerns stemmed from the fear that he would not be able to communicate with his daughter the same way as his mother.
Channing said, “Was I going to be able to do any of the stuff that a mother should do? That a mother, as a woman, can relate to her as?
What does Everly enjoy doing? Everything from daily dancing at home, trekking, playing Mario Kart, and even seeing the musical Frozen with her father.
The relationship between the two continues to grow stronger. Last July, Everly’s birthday, Channing posted an Instagram photo of him and his “little one” on the beach, writing. “You little one are everything! You are my world and my heart.
Channing continued, “You were looking at the full moon in this picture and telling me the prophecy of the full moon mermaid, and then we ran into the water and looked for her and played with glow sticks in the night water out to the mermaids.
He said, “You said you touched a bald mermaid and saw a tail. Someday you are going to read this, and I hope you laugh. We have fun.”
