The best of both a chocolate cake and a pan of brownies, this recipe creates a chocolate lover’s dream. Besides being incredibly easy to make, the end result is a cake that will stay moist for days.
Here are the ingredients that you need to compile in order to make this cake:
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

Here are the directions that you need to follow to make this recipe:

For the first step, you need to preheat the oven to 325F and pan spray an 8×8” baking dish. Set it aside for now.

In a large microwave safe bowl, melt all of the butter and chocolate chips (You can use either milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips.) together in 30 second spurts until smooth and combined. Stir with a whisk in between heating in order to completely melt the chocolate chips together. Too much heating will make them burn, but the high temperature will help them melt combined with the whisk will give you a smooth consistency.

For the next step, you need to fully stir in all of the sugar. Then add in the eggs and vanilla. Then add in all of the dry ingredients, like all of the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Mix the batter together until it is completely smooth and combined. You can do this with a whisk or by using a stand mixer.
