She explained to her 7.1 million followers on TikTok this week that she has taken a step back from posting on social media due to feeling uncomfortable with her body.

Rexha, who was almost into tears, said in the video, “I think I am the heaviest I have ever been. I weighed myself now, and I don’t feel comfortable sharing the weight cause I feel embarrassed.

The candid singer added that she feels “disgusting” in her own body.

She continued, ”I don’t feel good in my skin, and when I don’t feel good, I don’t want to post. That is the reason I haven’t been posting in the last year so much as I used to.”

Rexha was a staunch supporter of body acceptance. She contacted many fashion designers in 2019 who were not interested in dressing her up as she was “too fat.”

She told “Cosmopolitan” about the experience, “You are saying that all the women in the world that are size eight and up are not beautiful, and they cannot wear your dresses.”

Rexha posted a body-positive of herself dancing in lingerie in TikTok and encouraged her followers to embrace all shapes and sizes earlier this year.

She wrote in her video, ”How much do you think I weigh? No one’s business. Because I am a bad bitch no matter what my weight. But let’s normalize 165 pounds.”
