The Academy Awards were held last night and there were more than a few surprises. Of course, the big thing everybody is talking about was when Will Smith smacked Chris Rock for making an offensive joke about his wife. Director Ryusuke Hamaguchi was almost kicked off stage too early for his speech after winning his Oscar but shouted down the music. The Oscars allowed a fan-voted fan-favorite moment and it seemed like a top contender was Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
In terms of winners, however, there were still some great wins. Hans Zimmer won an Academy Award that woke him up to celebrate. Encanto won Disney another Oscar for Best Animated Feature. And Dune swept nearly all of the technical awards. Check out the full list of award winners below:
