Jonah rose to fame by playing funny fat guy roles in movies like Superbad. He didn’t stay big for long, though. He shed 40 pounds from his 250-pound frame in 2011; though he later gained weight for another movie role, he went back to a slimmer size after that, too.

“I do a lot of push-ups, running, and sit-ups,” Jonah told Esquire in 2011. When the interviewer mentioned that he imagined Jonah’s weight loss to be “a three-digit number,” Jonah replied, “I don’t think about stuff like that.”

Jonah reportedly asked his nutritionist for one favor: “I said, ‘I’ll lose weight, I’ll eat healthier and whatever, but figure out how I can drink beer.’”
