One of the most controversial foods in existence is pickles. Usually, people either love pickles or they hate them. There is no in between. Pickles are popular side items when you order burgers in a restaurant, and they go along with many different types of meals.
Also, Vlasic is one of the most well-known and popular pickle brands in the world. Now, Vlasic is expanding their pickle popularity into a new product: pickle chips. Pickle chips are sure to become the next big craze thanks to the keto diet, which is a low carb, high fat and moderate protein style of eating which restricts carbs. Pickles are an ideal food for keto, and pickle chips are a great snack option.
Thomas M. McGough, co-chief operating officer and executive vice-president of Conagra Brands, Inc., said in a statement that “Pickles has always been a flavor that people have loved in snacks, whether it’s potato chips or even in our Bigs Vlasic dill sunflower seeds. But pickles themselves are a great snack, essentially no calories or carbs.”
A mockup of the new pickle chip bag from Vlasic Pickles has been making the rounds on the Internet, after news broke of the new pickle product earlier this month. Vlasic Pickle Chips will come in single-serve 4.25 oz bags, although a retail price has not been announced, nor has an official release date, as the chips are currently still “in development.”
The bags are blue on top with eh Vlasic logo and mascot, with a gold trim line and the lower half of the bag is pickle green with the words “Original Dill Pickle Chips” and images of the crunchy chips on the bottom. It’s also unclear if the pickle chips will be a limited edition release or if they will be in stores indefinitely across the country.
