IHOP Creates Tiny House of Pancakes in Los Angeles

The International House of Pancakes, also known as IHOP, is a breakfast centric fast-food establishment across the United States. The company is teaming up with “Tiny House Nation,” the A&E television series about families who build tiny homes and transition their lives to living tiny with the help of professional tiny home builders. The collaboration will result in the Tiny IHOP, a tiny home which is actually an IHOP restaurant.

This tiny IHOP is located in the Los Angeles area, and the company is also running a sweepstakes where you can win a two-night, three-day trip to Los Angeles to attend a meal at the tiny IHOP. The tiny IHOP restaurant is only about 170 square feet, and includes stairs, railings, a door, and multiple windows as well as a stylish wood exterior.

Inside is a typical IHOP restaurant table, although it has a secret compartment of maple syrup and extra supplies which can be stored away under the table. Customers can order the traditional menu items like pancakes any style, and beverages like milk and orange juice.

Because the tiny restaurant is so small, it really only fits on table so the experience is completely unique. The tiny restaurant itself simply sits in a parking lot, although it has the iconic IHOP blue roof and blue lettering with the bright red smile. The prices of everything on the menu is the same as the other restaurants, and this experience isn’t expected to be available forever.

Interested customers have to be part of MyHOP, the chain’s email club program, in order to make a reservation.  If you register for it by October 20, you’ll receive an email prompting you to make a reservation through Yelp for some time between December 12 through December 15. The reservations will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
