Starbucks is doing their part to keep you chill this summer, with the introduction of its newest, refreshing drink flavors. In fact, the new flavors were introduced just a few days after the official first day of summer—talk about perfect timing!
There are four new drinks in all—three made with tea and one made with coffee—and each flavor takes its inspiration from the summer season. They included peaches, guava, blueberries, and even chocolate ice cream—can you say YUM?!
The three tea drinks are each hand-shaken with ice, sweetened with liquid cane sugar, and mixed with lemonade to create nothing short of an invigoratingly bold flavor. Teavana Peach Green Tea Lemonade sports a green tea, combined with a blend of peach flavored fruit juice and lemonade. Teavana Guava White Tea Lemonade has a white tea base, with the addition of a mix of guava-flavored fruit juice and lemonade. The final tea offering is Teavana Blueberry Black Tea Lemonade which combines a black tea with a blueberry-flavored fruit juice and lemonade.
As has always been the case at Starbuck’s, the Teavana drinks are totally customizable. For instance, if you find the drinks a little too sweet for your taste, the barista suggests trying them without the lemonade, or with the removal of the cane sugar. You can also custom blend the flavors, by mixing and matching the fruit blends to your palate.
Finally, we saved the best for last. The fourth new summer drink on Starbuck’s menu this season is that of the Iced Cocoa Cloud Macchiato. This delectably refreshing treat is made from expresso, just a dash of toffee nut syrup and whipped cloud cold foam. It is then topped off with a caramel and mocha drizzle on top. For those who are not into the icy drink, you have the option of ordering this one in a hot version as well.
