If you’re looking for a fun way to amaze guests at your next barbecue or big event, chocolate-lined strawberry treats are a surefire way to win over the taste buds of your friends, family members, and co-workers.

Not only are the shot glasses delicious, they are also incredibly simple to make and even more delicious to consume.

Getting Started

You’ll need a few simple tools to start you on your way. You probably already have these utensils at home, so let’s get started.

What You’ll Need

Knife
Small spoon
Heatproof metal bowl
Medium saucepan
Spatula or wooden spoon
Sheet pan

You Only Need Two Ingredients:

1 lb strawberries
6 oz of chopped bittersweet chocolate

Start By Hollowing Out Each Strawberry

Start by cutting off the top of each strawberry and then core out the middle. This is where you will place the chocolate coating when the time is right.

Pro Tip: Cut off the very bottom of each strawberry so they can stand up on their own. Don’t cut too deep, or the chocolate coating will escape.

Heat Your Chopped Semisweet Chocolate

Place all of your chopped semisweet chocolate into your heatproof metal bowl. Take your medium saucepan and fill it with just a couple inches of water and bring it to a simmer. Place the bowl over the pot and stir the chocolate until it is smooth.

Place the bowl over the pot and stir the chocolate until it’s smooth.

Pour Chocolate Into Each Hollowed Out Strawberry

Use your ladle to pour chocolate into each strawberry. The trick here is to coat the entire inside of the strawberry while allowing any excess chocolate to fall back into your mixing bowl. Make sure you complete this process quickly so the chocolate remains in liquid form.

Stir your chocolate occasionally to avoid clumping.

Place your new creation in the fridge for 30 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

Pour And Enjoy

After the chocolate hardens pick up a bottle of your favorite liquor and pour it into each chocolate-lined shot glass.

Strawberries pair with a lot of different types of liquor so you’re sure to find your favorite summertime concoction in no time at all.
